Cleansing & Charging Your Desert Rose Selenite
Desert Rose Selenite is one of the few crystals that is self-cleansing
and often used to purify other stones. However, you may still wish to refresh its energy periodically.
Cleansing:
You can cleanse your stone by using the smoke of sage or palo santo, or by placing it outside under the sunlight or moonlight. Since Selenite is an excellent energetic filter, simply leaving it near other crystals is often enough to cleanse and purify them (and vice-versa).
Charging:
To amplify its clarity and high-vibrational energy, place your Desert Rose Selenite under direct sunlight or moonlight.
Care Note: The Golden Rule
Desert Rose Selenite is highly sensitive to water.
Since it is a form of gypsum, prolonged exposure to moisture, or even a quick rinse, can cause it to dissolve or degrade.
- Avoid all water and liquids.
Never
cleanse or soak this stone in water.
- Handle with care.
This is a very soft mineral (rating only a 2 on the Mohs hardness scale) and can be easily scratched or damaged by other stones or rough surfaces.
- Clean it gently
using only a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush.
- Store it separately
from harder crystals to prevent damage to the delicate "petals."
